Sales Support Executive
Sydney - New South Wales
The Sales Support Executive works within the sales function to enable all aspects of FINBOURNE's business development lifecycle from opportunity identification through RFP development and submission to opportunity close.
Closely aligned to our Sales Directors and their target segments, this wide ranging role supports the sales process by researching target markets and producing target lists; preparing sales pitches and managing RFP submissions and generally serving as coordinator on sales activity. These responsibilities include a significant amount of coordination, collaboration, and timeline management in a dynamic team environment.
The successful candidate should be able to engage with colleagues across all FINBOURNE's functions and at all levels of the organisation, including senior leadership, to support business development systems, processes, and initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Sales opportunity management
- Manage incoming leads to ensure opportunities progressed
- Monitor potential opportunities through agree sales stages supporting and sales activity as required
- Conduct daily and weekly monitoring of pipeline opportunities
- Support routine and ad-hoc BD reporting and meetings
RFPs and proposals
- Act as coordinator on specific opportunities including RFP submissions pre- and post-proposal phases
- Compile client information, solution scope, technical solution information, preliminary commercials and other pre-proposal preparatory activities.
- Coordinate all client discovery activity include demos and technical workshops
- Prepare RFP submissions including initial coordination meetings, response complication and progress monitoring and management to meet internal and client deadlines
- Help maintain proposal content library so that documentation and learnings are captured for future use
Targeting and admin support
- Research and target potential clients in relevant segments and locations to enable the sales to build long term profitable relationships
- Ensure CRM system (MS Dynamics) is maintained with up-to-date account, contact and opportunity pipeline information
- Ensure campaigns are managed effectively through MS Dynamics including all activity, call reports etc
FINBOURNE profile build
Support the sales team to build FINBOURNE's market presence and generate opportunity leads via
- Attendance at suitable industry events - third party conferences and FINBOURNE hosted events
- Market briefings, roundtables etc
- Thought leadership, articles etc
What skills, experience and qualifications we require
Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or at least 2 years of related experience in marketing/sales/proposals, or some combination of relevant education and experience
- Exposure to financial services or a Fintech environment or complex software solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of other editing and publication software
Preferred
- 1+ years of experience working in business development, specifically as a proposal assistant or coordinator
