Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, AR, with system-wide financial leadership responsibilities. This role oversees financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning to ensure the sustainability of a not-for-profit healthcare system. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting processes, reviewing and interpreting financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. The CFO collaborates with senior leadership and department leaders to support operational decision-making, optimize resource utilization, and align financial performance with organizational goals and community needs. The role also includes leading the finance team, improving financial systems and controls, supporting capital planning, and presenting financial results and recommendations to the executive team and board.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Planning to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to oversee accurate, timely reports and support compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate performance metrics, and guide strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience in healthcare finance or not-for-profit hospital systems is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing finance teams and partnering with executive and clinical leaders.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, reimbursement models, and revenue cycle processes in healthcare.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; a relevant bachelor’s degree required.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or HFMA credential is a plus.
