The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading private equity-backed healthcare services platform to identify a VP of Finance to help lead its next phase of growth, operational transformation, and financial infrastructure development.
The organization generates approximately $300M in annual revenue and operates across multiple geographic markets. With continued expansion and a focus on operational excellence, the business is investing in its finance leadership, systems, and reporting capabilities.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished Controller or VP of Finance to step into a highly visible leadership position, partner directly with executive leadership and private equity ownership, and play a critical role in the organization's long-term growth and value creation strategy.
The ideal candidate has successfully led accounting and finance operations within a $300M–$500M healthcare organization and brings a combination of technical accounting expertise, operational leadership, and experience scaling private equity-backed businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and controllership across a complex, multi-site healthcare organization.
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on financial strategy, operational performance, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, consolidated reporting, and compliance with US GAAP.
- Drive financial systems modernization, including ERP implementation, optimization, and integration initiatives.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting infrastructure, and standardized processes across multiple operating entities.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle management and operational leadership to improve financial visibility, profitability, and cash flow.
- Support acquisitions, integration activities, and broader private equity value creation initiatives.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance organization.
- Partner with external auditors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
- Provide strategic and operational financial insights to senior leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently serving as a Controller, Corporate Controller, VP of Finance, or similar senior finance leader.
- Ideally 3–5+ years of experience in a Controller leadership position, preferably across multiple organizations or periods of significant growth.
- Experience overseeing accounting and finance within a $300M–$500M revenue business; larger organizations will also be considered.
- Strong preference for experience within private equity-backed healthcare services organizations.
- Background in multi-site healthcare, including physician practice management, outpatient services, home health, behavioral health, specialty healthcare, or other decentralized provider platforms.
- Demonstrated experience implementing or optimizing NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management, reimbursement structures, and financial reporting.
- Experience integrating acquisitions, consolidating finance functions, and professionalizing accounting infrastructure.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
- Prior public accounting experience and CPA designation strongly preferred.
