Company Description
North Star Children’s Homes is dedicated to transforming the lives of children in care by providing safe, stable, and nurturing home environments that support their physical, emotional, and educational development. Our business plan addresses the crisis in children’s social care in the UK by responding to a large unmet need. Inspired by Scandinavian models, North Star Childrens Homes focuses on networks of small, therapeutic, trauma-informed, and educationally thoughtful homes. Through this family-modelled approach, the organisation aims to help children heal from trauma, break cycles of intergenerational care, and build fulfilling futures while reducing long-term societal costs. We currently have eight homes, with plans for more homes in 2027.
