The Retail Business Development Manager will report to the Sr. Director, Commercial Operations. The Business Development Manager is responsible for reporting, analysis, business monitoring and project management. This position directly supports the full price and outlet channels. Key business partners include, Chief Commercial Officer, Planning, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, E-com, Finance, and field leaders.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and analyze daily, weekly and monthly and ad hoc business reporting
- Analyze sales performance and provide insights to develop tailor made strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Create strategy decks to support monthly, quarterly and ad hoc business and meeting needs
- Project management for new retail and omnichannel initiatives
- Researching trends and creating new opportunities to increase sales
- Maintaining the promotional calendar and analyzing the data to make recommendations
- Monitor sales progress and develops corrective plans to improve sales force effectiveness/efficiency
- Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop strategies to stay ahead of the competition
- Work cross functionally with various departments such as product, merchandising, and sales operations
- Collaborate with the CRM team to analyze customer trends through data and loyalty capture
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related field
- Ideal candidate will come from either a Planning, Business Analyst or Business Development role with 3+ years of experience
- Superior data analysis and reporting skills
- Financial Acumen and Business Acumen with strong consumer prospective
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Commercial mindset - ensuring results and profitability is central to all plans
- Excellent presentation skills, both face-to-face and written
- Must be able to clearly communicate information effectively and persuasively with strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the organization
