What’s the job?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist to streamline our sales processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support our sales team. This role will centralize key administrative and operational duties, ensuring our sales staff can focus on their core activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales support, data analysis, CRM management, and excellent organizational skills.
Administrative Duties
- Urgent Order Updates – Deal Desk
- Manage contracts, proposals, and sales documentation.
- Provide support for individual sales reps with administrative tasks.
- Commission Calculations
Sales Process Management
- Develop and maintain standardized sales processes for both Inside Sales (IS) and Enterprise Sales (ENT) teams.
- Ensure process consistency and data accuracy in sales and marketing systems.
Discount Management
- Implement and uphold company standards for discounts.
- Manage the "deal desk" to ensure objectivity in discount requests.
- Lead List Management
- Create and maintain lead lists to support sales activities.
- Conduct online research and list building to map out brokerages.
Data Reporting and Analysis
- Report on customer cancellation data to support the Customer Value Team (CVT), and Revenue Retention Team.
- Develop and maintain reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
- Reconcile new sales data to ensure accuracy, including discounts and credits.
CRM and Sales Tools Management
- Manage and ensure effective CRM system usage.
- Maintain sales-related data in CRM and other sales tools.
- Provide training and support to the sales team on using sales tools.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, and operations to implement new processes.
- Coordinate with Sales Leadership to ensure seamless pass-off of deal desk data for client account updates.
What are we looking for?
- At least 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, sales support, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, AWS QuickSight).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
