Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Operations Deal Desk Analyst to join our sales operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the deal desk function, ensuring that our sales processes are efficient, and that deals are structured to meet both customer needs and company objectives. You will work closely with sales, finance, legal, and product teams to optimize deal structures, streamline approvals, and provide strategic insights that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Desk Management: Oversee the deal desk function, providing guidance and support to the sales team on deal structuring, pricing, and contract terms.
- Deal Review: Review and approve deals to ensure they align with company policies, pricing strategies, and profitability targets.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve deal desk processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and improve sales cycle times.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, legal, and product management to address deal-related challenges and ensure alignment across departments.
- Strategic Analysis: Analyze deal trends and provide insights to senior management on pricing strategies maximizing revenue, discounting practices, risk assessment, and deal profitability.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on deal desk performance, including metrics on deal cycle times, approval rates, and revenue impact.
- Training & Enablement: Provide training and support to the sales team on deal desk processes, pricing strategies, and best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure all deals comply with company policies, legal requirements, and revenue recognition standards.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales operations, deal desk management, or related roles, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Automotive industry knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders and present findings to senior leadership.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce and other CRM systems, Salesforce CPQ and comparable CPQ tools, and Excel; experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools is a plus.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and drive process improvements.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

The salary range for this position is $94,000 - $159,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
