Sowena Group has been exclusively retained by a market-leading direct-to-consumer brand based in West Cheshire to appoint a new CFO.
The business has established a strong market position and reputation for performance within its sector. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the next phase of its growth, taking ownership of divisional financial performance and partnering with the senior leadership team to drive commercial strategy, enhance operational performance and support the business’s continued success.
Key impact areas include;
- Own the finance function end-to-end, from management accounts and cash flow to Group reporting, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all financial data.
- Lead and develop the Finance team, building an agile function that delivers high-impact commercial insights.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on pricing, margins, capital allocation, and growth opportunities.
- Drive strategic planning through robust forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario analysis.
- Implement scalable systems, strong financial controls, and tech enabled automation to improve efficiency and remove operational bottlenecks.

- An experienced finance leader from a high-growth direct to consumer business, with strong transactional and multi-channel expertise.
- Commercially astute, with a strong focus on profitability, margin optimisation, and sustainable business growth.
- Able to mix the hands-on with strategic, navigates complex financial models and communicates clear insights to senior stakeholders.
- A forward-thinking leader who embraces technology and automation to drive efficiency and better decision-making.
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in financial controls, planning, governance, and reporting.
- Resilient and proactive, with a track record of driving operational improvements and supporting sustainable growth.
