Job Summary
The Sr. Sales Operations Strategist will play a critical role in supporting the VP of Sales in driving the success of the sales organization. This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing sales processes, managing sales-related projects, and ensuring the alignment of sales strategies with company objectives. The Sr. Sales Operations Strategist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and support the sales team in achieving their targets. Additionally, this role will contribute to strategic planning and execution, ensuring that the sales department operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development: Work with the VP of Sales to create and refine sales strategies. Analyze market data to inform decisions and support long-term sales planning.
Project Management: Lead sales projects, coordinating with teams to ensure timely delivery. Manage timelines and resources, and report progress to leadership.
KPI Management: Develop and monitor KPIs to track sales performance. Provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
Sales Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in current sales processes and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Sales Training Optimization: Help improve training programs and materials. Ensure the sales team continues to develop through ongoing training.
Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate sales data and generate reports to support decision-making. Provide data-driven insights to guide sales strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication between the sales team and other departments. Lead cross-functional initiatives that support sales goals.
Sales Tools and Technology: Oversee sales tools and systems, ensuring they are used effectively. Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance performance.
Budget Management: Assist with budget management, ensuring alignment with financial goals and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Sales Forecasting: Help create accurate sales forecasts using historical data and market trends. Support the development of sales targets.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor the sales operations team, fostering a culture of improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related role
- Proven experience in project management, sales process optimization, and KPI management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales tools, and Google Suite
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and process-improvement skills
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
