Your Mission
Our customer is a B2B Marketplace in the energy trading sector enabling multi-billion-trading volumes annually. The company is hiring a CRO to scale from
~EUR 10M to 30M in ARR within three years.
You directly report to the CEO and run the revenue team of ~25 and 5 managers as direct reports, including marketing, account management and engagement across Europe.
Your First Half-year Might Look Like This
After 1 month you’ll
- Finished the company onboarding
- Have met your entire revenue team, peers and the Sr. Management team
- Spent time shadowing your team with new and existing customers
- Start understanding the company strategy, mission and value proposition
After 3 months you’ll
- Have identified low-hanging fruits based on your discovery and previous experience and implement short-term wins
- Have built a foundation of trust with your peers, team and Sr. Management team to be able to take ownership of decisions
- Having a rough plan on the go-to-market strategy to deliver 3x growth in 3 years based on the time you spend with customers, your team and the Sr. Management team
- Have interviewed candidates and guided the hiring managers and TA team to recalibrate your expectations on hiring to meet your strategic goals

After 6 months you’ll
- Have a clear revenue strategy in mind to achieve 3x growth in 3 years
- Proactively shape the company's direction, goals and objectives
- Have re-structured the revenue teams and took full ownership of all revenue-contributing activities

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue strategies to grow from EUR 10 to 30M in ARR.
- Lead and coordinate all revenue functions striving for customer centricity and revenue growth (a team of 25 with 5 direct reports across marketing, account management, engagement and across European markets etc.)
- Monitor performance of revenue activities using key metrics and introduce revenue reporting for senior management
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with external and internal key stakeholders
- Act to acquire new strategic customers and manage senior client relationships
- Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met and meet with customers weekly
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
- Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
- Contribute to hiring by clearly articulating expectations of how top candidates look like and help to evaluate and close them
Your profile
- Proven experience in leading commercial teams, ideally in a B2B SaaS or marketplace scale-up
- Proven experience in driving revenue from ~EUR 10M to 30M in ARR within three years
- 10+ years of relevant work experience; min. 5 years in Sr. Management roles
- Hands-on attitude with a desire to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities;
- Proven experience in sales and managing relationships with key clients
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Desire to work in fast-paced scale-up and passion to work with digital products and services
- Proven proficiency in using data and analytics to drive evidence-based G-T-M strategies and decision-making.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable revenue strategies and operational plans.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve revenue goals.
- Experience in developing and implementing revenue operations processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue analytics.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate revenue strategies, results, and initiatives to stakeholders at all levels.
