The Senior Sales Operations Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Sales Operations and Pricing, develops and recommends strategies to optimize GSI’s sales operations. This position also gathers and analyzes data to determine the strengths and weaknesses of existing procedures, identify areas needing improvement, and develop solutions to problem areas.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and present compelling data-driven analyses of commercial data. Use insights to improve sales processes with sales leadership.
- Support the sales/leadership team with necessary cadenced and ad hoc analyses intended to drive continuous improvement and opportunity identification/exploration activities.
- Gather and organize data from multiple sources, including Salesforce, to generate in-depth customer and market insights to enhance sales productivity
- Proactively track, maintain, and design new reports, analytics, and dashboards as needed for our reporting processes, including leads, opportunities, pipeline, productivity, and forecasting.
- Build repeatable processes and reporting to enable sales leaders and reps with critical operational and performance data related to sales strategy and execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent reporting standards and processes. Lead cross-functional projects to help resolve issues impacting core sales operations, scale, and grow the areas of analytics, reporting, and planning.
- Automate reporting to minimize time spent compiling and maximize time spent analyzing.
- Conduct research, investigate workflow business procedures, and recommend changes
- Detail-oriented review of account distribution to the sales teams, identify possible issues, and communicate effectively with sales leadership
- Involved in process improvements and identified opportunities for efficiency with the Sales Operations team
- Optimize sales and operational efficiency through innovative thinking, process improvement system enhancements, and best practice sharing.
- Perform general data entry and data management
Education, Training & Qualifications
- Degree in business administration, finance, or marketing.
- Three+ years of experience in a sales analysis position
- Must have strong mathematical and analytical skills. Must be able to calculate, understand, and effectively interpret relevant financial data.
- Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel & have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
