Position Summary
The Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer will be responsible for the significant year-over-year growth of revenue at Grand Canyon Resort Corporation. This growth will be achieved through the strategic development, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all sales, marketing, and advertising campaigns. Responsibilities include advising the Executive team on new business ventures, product development, and expansion of revenue streams, as well as overseeing the pursuit of new businesses in the tourism industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Increase revenue through strategic sales, marketing, and advertising campaigns.
Enhance digital footprint and traffic in relevant media spaces.
Evaluate marketing partners and advertising agencies for maximum ROI.
Develop marketing campaigns to increase visitation to existing operations.
Identify and execute opportunities for mergers and acquisitions.
Find efficiencies in current operations with other C-Suite executives.
Enhance existing products to maximize efficiencies and revenues.
Prepare strategies to increase revenues.
Work with department heads to promote a world-class experience for guests.
Ensure team members are informed and trained to assist guests.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and promote growth opportunities.
Ensure health, safety, and sanitation processes are followed.
Resolve guest-related issues promptly and respectfully.
Contribute to a team environment and assist coworkers as needed.
Keep the Executive team and Board apprised of concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Abilities
Ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns with proven results.
Experience in developing luxury branding campaigns.
Track record in sales campaigns that demonstrate significant ROI.
Ability to build and develop a professional sales and marketing team.
Thorough knowledge of financial statements and ROI projections.
Ability to drive revenues and control expenses.
Creative thinking across various business operations.
Knowledge of contract management and legal consultation.
Responsiveness to C-Suite demands and ability to execute vision.
Ability to interact with diverse populations and Native American business operations.
Ability to lead and motivate employees.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to support high-level strategies and achieve performance goals.
Experience interacting with Boards and Councils.
Ability to foster a team environment and maintain positive relationships.
Ability to communicate clearly and handle escalated issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
Minimum of ten years of senior leadership experience in marketing in the hospitality industry.
Experience in opening large-scale business operations.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Track record of increasing revenue for operations with at least $100M in annual revenue.
Ability to analyze and advise on new business ventures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience Working For a Tribal Entity Preferred.
Preference for Hualapai Tribal members.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, and bend.
Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods.
Specific Vision Abilities Required Include Close And Distance Vision.
Effective communication in person and via telecommunications.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
Conditions Of Employment
Authorization to work in the United States.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Compliance with GCRC policies and regulations.
Working Conditions
Office setting with occasional outdoor assignments. Exposure to various weather conditions and occasional travel for meetings. Extended and irregular hours may be required. Flexible work from home options available.
