Job Title: Deal Desk Manager

Role Summary:
The Deal Desk Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the sales organization by streamlining deal processes, ensuring pricing accuracy, and improving deal structure efficiency. The role acts as a bridge between sales, finance, legal, and operations teams to optimize sales deals while aligning with corporate strategy. This position will focus on maximizing revenue, profitability, and compliance through efficient contract management, pricing governance, and deal structuring.
What will you do?
Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales team on complex deal structures.
Review and approve deals to ensure they meet pricing, discount, and approval guidelines.
Collaborate with finance and legal teams to resolve issues related to contract terms, revenue recognition, and compliance.
Assist sales representatives in structuring competitive, profitable deals while ensuring alignment with corporate pricing strategies.
Provide guidance on pricing models, discounting, and contract terms to ensure scalability and profitability.
Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the deal desk function.
Develop and maintain standardized processes and tools for deal structuring, approval workflows, and quote to cash processes.
Ensure adherence to company policies and approval matrixes in all deal related decisions.
Partner with finance, legal, and product teams to ensure proper deal governance.
Work closely with the sales team to provide strategic advice and deal coaching.
Communicate deal status and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Provide regular reports on deal metrics such as win rates, deal cycle time, discount levels, and deal
profitability.
Monitor and analyse sales trends, pipeline data, and deal performance to provide actionable insights for improvement.
Identify and address risks and bottlenecks in deal closure to improve overall sales efficiency.
What skills required?
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in a deal desk, sales operations, or similar role within a SaaS or technology environment.
Strong understanding of sales processes, pricing strategies, and financial modeling.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and quoting tools.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic and process-oriented approach.
Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams and foster collaboration.
Strong negotiation skills to structure win win deals and align sales strategies with company objectives.
