Role Description
This is a full-time Search and Acquisition Partner role at W A Chump & Sons, based in the Bristol area, with flexibility for remote working. You will lead our search and acquisition efforts, identifying and securing high-potential businesses that match our investment criteria. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity to join our team in building a portfolio of successful enterprises.
Initially, this is a commission-only role with the potential to evolve into an equity partnership based on successful acquisitions.
The Role
You'll lead our search and acquisition function, working closely with our UK-based leadership team to:
Source Opportunities: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets meeting our criteria (£2M+ EBITDA, steady MRR, >15% margins)
Lead Negotiations: Drive acquisition processes from initial contact through to completion
Build Relationships: Develop networks with business owners, advisers and intermediaries to access off-market opportunities
Execute Strategy: Assess strategic fit and growth potential of target companies
Conduct Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive evaluation of potential acquisitions

You
Proven track record in M&A, business development or private equity
Experience in SME acquisitions and deal structuring
Strong network within the UK SME landscape
Understanding of technology businesses and scalable business models
Excellent due diligence and analytical skills
Strategic communicator with the ability to build trust with business owners
