Revenue Operations aims to sit right at the heart of action, connecting Product, Marketing, and Sales to drive outstanding outcomes. We support sales and marketing functional leaders in all matters of processes, data, planning, performance, systems, and analysis. Job Summary
The Deal Desk Specialist focuses on helping with transactions and approvals, is responsible for managing the deal process, improving sales productivity, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Legal, Operations, Security and Finance teams to review deals, assess risks, and provide guidance on pricing and terms.
The ideal candidate will be remotely located within North America, preferably within the Central Time Zone.
The primary responsibilities of a Deal Desk Specialist will include:
- Focus on the efficiency of the transaction review process and the cohesiveness of the transactions being made by Sales, especially in case of the more complex transactions which require multiple approvals and/or additional consultancy on optimizing the deal structure
- Assist sales in reviewing deal terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinating with sales teams to ensure that all required documentation and approvals are obtained before closing a deal.
- Working with Legal and Finance teams to assess and manage risks associated with a deal, including credit, legal, and regulatory risks.
- Managing the approval process for deals, including obtaining approvals from senior management and other stakeholders as required.
- Making sure Deal Desk's involvement on a transaction is always accurately recorded in the company's systems and that all necessary data is captured for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Providing guidance, consultancy and support to sales teams on deal pricing, including developing and maintaining pricing models and tools, all while reflecting the nature of the customer's business as well as the business strategy of Emplifi.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve the deal process, including identifying opportunities for process automation and optimization.
The Deal Desk Specialist focused on transactions and approvals should have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational, communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
What You'll Bring to Us
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in highly quantitative fields
- Proven skills in salesforce.com
- Proven track record of deal desk management and operations
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with a willingness to be hands-on including using pivot tables and/or BI tools to mashup and report data
- Exceptional communication skills and is able to simplify and present complex deal concepts to sales and executive audiences.
- An incredibly curious, proactive, and growth-minded approach to your work
- Relentless setting of aggressive short- and long-term goals and possesses a strong internal drive to achieve them.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with partners across different teams, clearly articulate intents, and properly negotiate to align goals and results.
