Job Description

Our client, a prominent healthcare organization committed to serving the community through comprehensive and innovative care, is hiring a Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee comprehensive financial planning and analysis, and support the organization's mission of delivering high-quality, safety-net healthcare. This senior executive role requires a dynamic leader with extensive healthcare finance expertise, particularly in hospital reimbursement, revenue cycle management, and financial turnaround initiatives. The CFO will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial stability and long-term sustainability, directly engaging with the Executive team, Board of Trustees, and external partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, and payer performance analysis.
Lead government reimbursement strategies, particularly Medicare and Medicaid, identifying and maximizing supplemental funding opportunities.
Manage relationships with governmental agencies and regulatory bodies.
Direct operational finance activities encompassing managed care contracting, physician productivity evaluations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Develop and evaluate infrastructure investments, capital expenditures, and return on investment analyses.
Assist in grant procurement and financing initiatives to support organizational growth and infrastructure development.
Collaborate with clinical leadership to advance operational improvements and cost management strategies.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of senior healthcare financial leadership experience.
Minimum 5 years as a CFO, Deputy CFO, or equivalent role.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance; MBA, MHA, CPA, or an equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Deep expertise in hospital reimbursement models, including Medicaid, Medicare, DSH, UPL, DPT, GME, and supplemental payments.
Strong strategic planning and operational discipline.
Proven experience in hospital turnaround, cost management, and revenue cycle transformation,
Excellent communication skills suited for board-level interactions.
Ability to collaborate and lead diverse teams effectively.
