EXECUTIVE IN RESIDENCE

To provide both strategic and tactical guidance, we hire and embed executives in our portfolio companies for a period of time—at our expense. We match companies with people who have the specific expertise they need—marketing, finance, operations, sales and business development, and so on—as well as industry-sector experience.

We're looking for those that have an interest in a consultant role within Connecticut's innovation ecosystem, bring a wealth of investment expertise in early-stage technology companies, a deep pool of connections to help Founders and their teams advance ideas, and the resources to make things happen. This consultant must be based in Connecticut.

CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICER

We are looking to onboard a previous Chief Business Officer, Vice President Business Development, or Chief Commercial Officer with deep experience in a life science tools company selling R&D instrumentation, with a focus on biological reagents. Critical is deep understanding of the commercial hurdles in the proteomics/life science tools industry. Proven experience in either new product development or new channel development is a must. This role requires technical expertise or deep experience in instrumentation and biological material used for research and discovery and a strategic mindset to drive growth and value creation.

An ideal candidate would have a potential interest in joining the company after meeting the consulting agreement's goals. The consulting engagement will support the following:

Refine the current business model, validate commercial strategy and the development of a robust growth plan.
Evaluate the technology and its alignment with the current commercialization plan.
Assess market potential, sales projections, and customer base.
Assess commercial workstreams and respective funding needs for future growth.
