Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive leader responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy, supporting long-term growth, and ensuring strong financial integrity. This role oversees all financial operations—including planning, reporting, accounting, capital management, and risk mitigation—while partnering closely with executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making.

Financial Leadership & Strategy

Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals and expansion plans.
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Provide high-level financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
Evaluate financial performance using KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics.

Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

Oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, audits, and reporting.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.

Cash Flow, Treasury & Capital Management

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
Oversee banking relationships, lender communications, and capital planning.
Lead investment strategy, financing decisions, and capital structure management.

Risk Management

Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and risk-management policies.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Operational Finance

Partner with Operations, HR, and Department Heads to support cost control and budgeting.
Analyze business unit performance and drive initiatives that strengthen profitability.
Improve cost efficiencies across labor, overhead, and operational systems.

Systems, Technology & Process Optimization

Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and ERPs.
Automate reporting and streamline accounting workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
Build scalable processes to support multi-location or high-growth operations.

Leadership & Collaboration

Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to the Board and executive leadership.
Act as a strategic partner to all departments across the organization.

Qualifications

10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience (Controller, VP Finance, or CFO).
Proven success leading financial operations in a high-growth or complex organization.
Strong background in financial planning, analysis, modeling, and strategy.
Expertise in GAAP, compliance, audits, and internal controls.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, reporting tools, and financial software.
