As our Nursery Sales and Operations Manager, you will oversee sales operations while ensuring exceptional client service and leadership within the team. Your core expertise in horticulture will guide your efforts in promoting and recommending trees and plant sales and enhancing client satisfaction. You will lead a dedicated team, foster a collaborative work environment , and contribute to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales through proactive customer engagement, relationship management, and tailored solutions for our clients through the recommendation of trees and plants.
Quote projects and estimate planting projects.
Meet with clients and provide consultation services.
Lead and support a team oriented culture, ensuring a team protected and client centered approach in all aspects of the business.
Oversee daily nursery operations, including inventory management, plant health, and quality control.
Collaborate with the landscape and garden centre divisions to maximize efficiencies and opportunities.
Consult with clients in store and on site to make recommendations for landscape designs.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through expert advice and service.
Monitor and manage budgets, sales targets, and operational performance.
Maintain a safe, organized, and visually appealing nursery environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Horticulture experience is essential – formal education in horticulture or equivalent practical experience.
Arborist Consultant, Horticultural Management or Arborist Certification is a benefit.
Proven leadership experience in a retail nursery, garden centre, or similar environment.
Strong sales skills with a focus on clients needs and solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and team-building skills.
Knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, and landscape plants.
Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems is an asset.
