PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, risk management, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
Manage investor relations and communicate financial performance to stakeholders
Lead the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
Evaluate and manage financial risks, including liquidity, credit, and operational risks
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
Oversee capital structure and financing activities, including debt and equity financing
Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals
Ensure adherence to budgets and reduce operational costs
Deliver accurate, timely financial reports and ensure regulatory compliance
Implement effective risk management frameworks
Enhance investor communication and successfully raise capital
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives
Increase profit margins and identify new revenue streams
Maintain a healthy cash flow and improve working capital management
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)

MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of special education with experience in the leadership of nonpublic schools and agencies. MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles, including experience as a CFO or VP of Finance
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with investor relations and capital raising activities
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or other business-related activities
