POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Controlleroversees all aspects of the company's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Leads and develops the Accounting Department and functions as a member of the EBCO Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction & Execution:

Collaborate cross-functionally to create and execute financial strategies that support the overall business objectives.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Provide insights and strategic guidance to the leadership team regarding financial planning and decision making.
Oversee strategic partnerships with clients, vendors and third parties to enhance organizational resilience and add value to the business
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, such as credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
Assess, manage and deploy effective usage of Accounting Systems and Software.

Lead and Manage for Accountability:

Protects assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information through consistent and effective processes, strong internal controls and interdepartmental collaboration.
Manage the accounting department, including tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance.
Build financial knowledge, skills and bench strength in the Accounting Department.
Foster an environment of empowerment, collaboration and growth and align departmental goals with organizational strategies and objectives.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate across departments to develop and manage the companys budget, monitor variances and provide financial forecasts, insights, and guidance.
Identify and implement improvements to the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Capital Management:

Manage the companys cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet obligations and invest in growth opportunities.
Manage the companys capital structure, including debt, equity, and other financing options.
Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities, ensuring the companys capital is deployed efficiently.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations and accounting standards.
Oversee the preparation of financial statement and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities Required:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or relevant field.
At least 10 years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and relevant laws.

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with the ability to deal with rapidly changing business conditions.
