ROLE SUMMARY:

The Director of Commercial Operations is responsible for optimizing the company’s commercial performance by aligning sales, marketing, pricing, and revenue operations. This role drives strategic initiatives, improves operational efficiency, and ensures data-driven decision-making to maximize revenue growth and profitability

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

1. Commercial Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market share
Partner with executive leadership to align business goals with commercial initiatives
Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams

2. Sales & Revenue Operations

Oversee sales operations including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking
Design and optimize sales processes, tools, and KPIs
Collaborate with sales leadership to improve productivity and conversion rates

3. Pricing & Profitability

Lead pricing strategy, discount governance, and margin optimization
Analyze profitability by product, segment, and customer
Recommend pricing models based on market trends and competitive positioning

4. Data & Analytics

Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards for commercial performance
Use data insights to drive decision-making and identify growth opportunities
Ensure data integrity across CRM and business systems

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, finance, product, and customer success teams
Align go-to-market strategies and campaign effectiveness
Support product launches and commercialization efforts

6. Process Improvement & Systems

Evaluate and implement tools (e.g., CRM, sales enablement platforms)
Streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
Lead transformation initiatives and change management efforts

7. Team Leadership

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial operations team
Set performance goals and provide ongoing coaching
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
8–12+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, or strategy roles
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency
Strong analytical skills and experience with data tools (e.g., CRM, BI platforms)
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
