Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Consumer Goods

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of financial management for our apparel company. The CFO will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth, ensuring financial health, and aligning financial strategy with the company’s long-term vision. This individual will provide strategic insight, lead the finance team, and serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Partner with the President and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.
Provide forward-looking financial insight to guide decision-making on expansion, investments, product lines, and operational initiatives.
Serve as a key liaison with investors, lenders, and external stakeholders.

Financial Management & Reporting

Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
Implement financial controls, processes, and policies to protect company assets and ensure operational efficiency.

Operational Excellence

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess profitability by product category, sales channel, and region.
Oversee cash flow, working capital, and inventory financing to support apparel production cycles.
Optimize pricing strategies, margin analysis, and cost controls across the supply chain.

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
Manage relationships with auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial position.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the apparel, retail, or consumer goods industry.
Strong understanding of inventory management, product costing, and seasonal business cycles.
Proven track record in raising capital, managing banking relationships, and supporting business growth.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
