Final Frontier is a start up nuclear energy company founded by Teague Egan, focused on developing a 20 MWe fission reactor known as The Cube. Teague Egan is also the Founder & CEO of EnergyX (www.energyx.com) a lithium extraction & refinery technology and production company valued at over $2 billion. Brothers Teague and Riley Egan (Chief Strategy Officer) come from a heritage of nuclear energy through their maternal grandfather, a nuclear engineering PhD who lead a large team of scientist at Oak Ridge National Lab during the Manhattan Project

The Cube reactor is planned to be a thorium molten salt design. It was have the capacity to power:

- Artificial Intelligence Processing

- Data Centers

- Industrial Manufacturing Plants (like EnergyX Lithium Refineries)

- 20,000 Home Neighborhoods

- Electrification of Office Buildings and City Centers

Compensation: Up to $100,000

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) located in Austin, TX, with some work-from-home flexibility. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, financial statements, and financial reporting. This role involves developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The CFO will also provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team, and be instrumental in decision-making processes, using their analytical skills to drive the company's financial growth.

Qualifications

Expertise in Financial Planning and Financial Statements
Strong Finance background with excellent Analytical Skills
Experience in Financial Reporting
Proven leadership and management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
Experience in a senior financial managerial position is a plus
7 - 10 years' of finance experience

Responsibilities

Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to CEO
Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
Prepare financial statements and reports
Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
Manage relationships with banks
