Fiscal Officer – Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiscal Officer to oversee accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role ensures compliance with organizational, auditing, and funding requirements, while providing financial insight to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise fiscal staff, providing guidance and technical support.
Oversee accounting, auditing, and financial control systems to safeguard assets.
Ensure accurate and consistent financial data recording and reporting.
Prepare monthly expenditure reports, comparing performance to budgets.
Assist in preparing annual operating budgets, contract modifications, and closeouts.
Produce fiscal and statistical reports for leadership, auditors, and funding agencies.
Continuously improve accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems.

Qualifications

Required minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
Knowledge of GAAP, internal auditing, and budget/grant preparation.
Proficiency with financial software and strong computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to collaborate with non-financial staff and maintain confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
