The Director of Business Operations is a strategic and results-driven leader responsible for optimizing day-to-day business functions, driving operational excellence, and aligning operational capabilities with the company's strategic objectives. This role oversees cross-functional processes, improves systems and workflows, manages budgets and resource allocation, and ensures the efficient delivery of products and services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies that support company objectives and promote growth.
Oversee daily business operations across departments including facilities, operations, logistics, and customer service.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with department heads to align goals, set targets, and ensure accountability.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning processes in partnership with Finance.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract negotiations and procurement processes for supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.
Support talent development and workforce planning in collaboration with HR.
Implement and oversee business systems and technologies to enhance productivity. Serve as a key liaison between leadership and operational teams to ensure transparency and effective communication.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in business operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing complex operations and cross-functional teams.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Proficient in business intelligence tools, ERP systems, and data analysis.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation. Change management experience and a continuous improvement mindset (Lean/Six Sigma a plus).

Working Conditions

Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed. Hybrid or remote work options may be available depending on location and business needs.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $190,000
