Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – CNT Foundations & CNT Geotechnical

CNT Foundations (residential foundation repair) and CNT Geotechnical (commercial subcontractor specializing in deep foundation and soil stabilization solutions) are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial and accounting operations across both divisions. This role offers the unique opportunity to oversee finances for a dual-scope business — serving homeowners on the residential side while also bidding and partnering with general contractors on large-scale commercial projects.

This is a hands-on, traditional CFO role — perfect for someone who thrives in both operational finance and high-level strategic growth planning.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting and finance functions for both residential and commercial divisions, including AP, AR, payroll, and reporting.
Lead and mentor a finance team consisting of an Accounting Manager and Accounting Clerk.
Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting across divisions.
Present monthly financial results and insights to the CEO, and quarterly updates to the Board of Directors.
Partner with leadership to shape financial strategies that balance the needs of residential homeowners and commercial contractor projects.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and internal controls.
Provide data-driven recommendations on growth opportunities, risk management, and long-term planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred, not required).
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles.
Proven experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash flow management, and budgeting/forecasting.
Experience supporting both residential services and commercial contracting/subcontracting operations preferred.
Excellent communication skills — able to clearly present financials to executives and board members.
Hands-on leader who can balance strategic insight with daily operational oversight.
