Overview:
Our client is a Private Equity backed, wealth management firm based in Port Jefferson NY. They seek a CFO / Sr Controller with a strong foundation in accounting, data analysis, and financial strategy. Experience in wealth management or an RIA setting is preferred but not required. Proximity to their Port Jefferson office is a plus.

The successful candidate will have a combination of hard technical skills and the ability to think out of the box to help our team evaluate and execute on continual expansion opportunities.

Pay package will include significant cash bonus and equity participation

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Oversee accurate, transparent monthly financial reporting, cash flow analysis and compliance with bank reporting.
Audit and Tax Management: Lead annual audit processes with external auditors and oversee preparation of tax reporting.
Regulatory and Compliance: Knowledge and ability to ensure regulatory and compliance adherence across firm.
Data Analysis: Manage and analyze large data sets for strategic insights.
KPI Dashboard: Create and maintain a KPI dashboard to track and visualize performance.
Acquisition Due Diligence: Conduct financial evaluations on potential acquisitions, model performance and preparation of detailed due diligence reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA and/or 10+ years of accounting experience.
Wealth management or RIA experience preferred, but not required.
Prior experience conducting acquisition due diligence and reviewing prepared financial statements (including private equity investment team or portfolio company finance team) strongly preferred
Strong data management, analytical, and financial leadership skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary: $175-225k/year commensurate with experience
Bonus and Equity: Performance-based bonus and equity incentives.

Base Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
