Business Applications Administrator (ERP / Business Central)

Location: La Porte / Pasadena, TX — Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Salary Range: $110,000–$125,000

About the Role

This role supports and administers the business applications that drive our Finance, Procurement, AP, Operations, and Inventory teams. The position is focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC24 → BC26), Coupa, and related business systems.

This is not an infrastructure, systems administrator, cybersecurity, or help desk position.
This role centers on ERP application support, business workflows, data accuracy, system configuration, and enabling end-users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Support, administer, and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Contribute to the BC26 upgrade (testing, validation, workflows, permissions)
Support and configure Coupa procurement and AP workflows
Troubleshoot system workflows, posting errors, permission issues, and data discrepancies
Perform SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting
Support integrations between systems (Boomi or similar integration platforms)
Work closely with Finance, AP, Procurement, Field Operations, and IT
Document system configurations, user processes, and business workflows
Assist with system enhancements, testing, and change validation

This Role Is NOT

Not a network/server/sysadmin position
Not Azure/O365/Entra administration
Not cybersecurity or cloud engineering
Not help desk or endpoint support
Not SCCM/Intune/VMware work
Not infrastructure, networking, or desktop support

This Role IS

ERP and business application support
Business Central workflow configuration and user support
Supporting Finance/AP/Purchasing/Inventory processes
Troubleshooting transactions, approvals, and data issues
Writing and interpreting SQL to support reporting and analysis
Working with integrations and cross-system automation
Communicating with business stakeholders and improving processes

Required Qualifications

3–6+ years supporting ERP or major business applications
Experience with Finance, AP, Procurement, Inventory, or Operations workflows
Experience with application workflows and approval processes
Ability to write and interpret SQL queries
Strong communication skills with non-technical users
Process documentation and application support experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (any version)
Experience with Coupa or similar procurement platforms
Experience with Boomi, APIs, or integration workflows
Experience participating in ERP upgrades or workflow redesign
