Chief Financial Officer (Fractional)

Engagement: Fractional (2 days per week, on-site)

Context

We are supporting a fast-growing technology company that is entering a critical phase of scale and financing. As the business accelerates its growth, the leadership team is looking to further strengthen its financial foundations to support operational expansion, strategic decision-making, and upcoming funding initiatives. The company is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer to work closely with the CEO, the xNorth Team, and the leadership team. This role will play a key part in structuring the finance function, bringing financial rigor, and acting as a trusted strategic partner through this next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, and performance management during a high-growth and scaling phase
Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics to support sustainable growth
Support fundraising activities, investor discussions, and financing processes (equity and/or debt)
Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and management dashboards to improve decision-making
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on growth initiatives, scalability, and financial risk management

Profile

Senior finance leader with experience as a CFO or Senior Vice President of Finance, ideally within tech, SaaS, retail, or hospitality environments
Strong track record in growth contexts, including fundraising and financing processes
Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in lean, fast-moving organizations
Proven experience in fractional or interim executive leadership roles is required
