We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead our agile, growing apparel manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader that is excited to work hands-on and help scale the organization. The role oversees the accounting function, including internal and external financial reporting. The successful candidate will manage a lean team and act as a key point person to Ownership and Executive teams.

Responsibilities:

Own and lead the financial function of the company.
Deliver balance sheet, income statements, and statements of cash flow at the end of each calendar month.
Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting on variances of actual results versus the budget and last year.
Lead the annual budget process. Update of forecasts as business conditions evolve.
Work cross functionally to ensure that communicated budgets are met.
Proactively suggest cost savings initiatives and encourage a culture where everyone is aware of the financial impact of their decisions.
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information as needed.
Meet deadline for annual tax reporting.
Deliver recommendations on maximization of financial returns and limiting financial risks.
Ensure all deadlines and payments are met without any delays. Review all vendor payments for accuracy.
Deliver all Royalty reporting as per license agreements.
Partner with CFOs of our other divisions.
Ensure accurate intercompany accounting related to significant shared services within the organization.
Handle the relationship with our insurance broker to ensure adequate coverages.
Partner with customers, vendors and department heads as needed to support their needs via the finance department.
Negotiate and manage banking relationships, cash and revolving line of credit.
Ensure receivables are collected on a timely basis and that chargebacks are challenged so only valid ones impact financial results.
Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Drive results through financial staff by directing, monitoring and coaching the team.
Partner with outside accounting firm to ensure quarterly and annual deadlines for tax filings are met in accordance with applicable laws.
Make the Executive management team aware of new legislation and advise on needed actions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA a plus
15+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proven leadership ability
Self-directed strategic thinker with sound technical and analytical skills
Experience in public accounting a plus
Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting
Proficiency in managing multiple demands with a high sense of urgency
Experience with SAP, Concur, Business Objects a plus

Annual salary $300,000+
