Job Description:

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer to join our startup. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company, from securing early-stage funding to managing cash flow and building a scalable financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and resourceful individual with a passion for startups and a desire to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including market analysis, competitive analysis, and customer lifetime value (CLTV) analysis.
Fundraising & Investor Relations:
Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch decks, investor presentations, and financial projections for potential investors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and advisors.
Manage investor communications and reporting requirements.
Financial Operations:
Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, and treasury management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
Manage cash flow and optimize capital allocation.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial systems.
Strategic Planning & Decision Making:
Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team.
Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks.
Support key business decisions related to pricing, product development, and go-to-market strategy.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Build and lead a high-performing finance team as the company grows.
Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of relevant experience in finance, with a strong preference for experience in a high-growth startup environment.
Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and fundraising.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
Resourceful and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to contribute to the success of a startup.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks).
Can work autonomously. You will be the main person for the finance department, currently there won’t be a team.
