OLIPOP was founded in 2017 by Ben Goodwin and David Lester. Ben and David have been working together for nearly a decade to find accessible solutions to bring the benefits of digestive health to as many consumers as possible. Director of Planning

THE ROLE

Our Demand Planning Manager will fulfill a key role on the Supply Chain team taking on the responsibilities of ensuring appropriate demand forecasting to meet OLIPOP's rapid growth sales plan. This role will work closely with the supply planning and procurement team on the Supply Chain, and partner with the Sales and Planning teams to ensure the right product is being produced at the right time. The Demand Planning Manager will be able to quickly pivot with changes in strategy and changes in demand as well as communicate supply status reports to stakeholders in the organization.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Business Analytics teams to develop a demand plan for the business and update at a regular cadence.
Develop process for promotion review with Sales and Market teams to ensure it's adequately overlaid with planning expectations
Develop process for scenario planning within the demand plan, to ensure Olipop is prepared to hit both plan and outlook scenarios
Drive continuous improvements to increase forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias
Develop transition strategy and forecasts for product launches or changes
Identify and reconcile any gaps between the demand plan, other volume projections (sale forecast, marketing, etc.)
Facilitate cross-functional demand alignment meetings with sales and finance
Own the process, and communicate cross-functionally on issues related to product sales forecasts and product availability
Partner with Sales and Operations teams to coordinate inventory flow strategy for product allocations
Collaborate as needed with Supply Planning Manager to navigate changes via demand control events
Lead S&OP process for the Supply Chain; suggest changes to S&OP process and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement
Establish key performance metrics and report out monthly
Play a critical role in any systems implementation
Mentor and coach team members to high levels of performance to be accomplished in ways consistent with the mission and employee ethos at OLIPOP

Skills/Experience Requirements

7-10 years of Supply Chain experience in CPG related fields
Dynamic problem solver - comfortable challenging assumptions and offering solutions with incomplete information.
Highly organized with excellent follow-through
A thought leader with a proven track record leading others
Transparent, open communicator - great listener who can read between the lines
End to end Supply Chain experience
Functional strategy development and delivery experience; conversion of business insights/needs into Supply Chain strategy
Professional, mature individual who possesses strict ethical standards
Ability to think strategically and execute /problem solve tactical issues
Proven ability to develop strategic plans and manage implementation and execution, along with an ability to analyze data and identify root causes
Communication skills (present ideas effectively, actively listen and work across functional boundaries)

COVID-19

OLIPOP requires all employees, unless they have received an approved exemption as an accommodation for a medical issue or sincerely held religious belief, to be "up to date" on their vaccines prior to their date of hire. A person is considered "up to date" on their COVID-19 vaccines after they have received their primary series of doses and their booster shots, when eligible. When a person is not eligible for a booster, they are considered "up to date" two weeks after they receive the final dose of their primary series. When a person is eligible for a booster, they are considered "up to date" immediately after they receive the booster. This policy applies to any vaccine authorized to prevent COVID-19 by the FDA, including by way of an emergency use authorization, or by the World Health Organization (WHO), or an active COVID-19 clinical trial (non-placebo). Vaccination verification (or accommodation approval) must be completed before the date of hire.
