About Omega EMS

Omega EMS is a growing electronics contract manufacturer (EMS) providing printed circuit board assembly, box build and full turnkey manufacturing to customers in defense, industrial, geospatial, semiconductor equipment, clean energy and robotics markets. Revenue has grown from approximately $61 million in 2025 to an expected $85 million in 2026, with continued growth planned. We are investing in a stronger finance organization to match that scale.

Position Summary

The CFO leads all finance, accounting, cost accounting, treasury and financial planning for the company. This is a hands-on leadership role for a manufacturing finance executive who can build an accurate, timely monthly close; put inventory and cost-of-goods controls in place across our ERP and accounting systems; build and lead a capable accounting team; and serve as a strategic partner to ownership on pricing, customer profitability, capital and growth.

Key Priorities for the First 12 Months

• Establish a reliable monthly close delivering accurate P&L and balance sheet within 10 business days, with inventory, cost of goods sold and value-added margin reconciled to the ERP each month.

• Implement purchasing cutoff and accrual controls: received-not-billed and billed-not-received accruals, three-way match (PO / receipt / invoice), and consistent dating between the AP system and the general ledger.

• Bring all inventory under control: ERP inventory, work in process, customer-owned and consigned material, and project material purchased outside the ERP, with documented support and regular physical counts.

• Introduce a journal entry policy with documentation, approval and a monthly entry log; eliminate unsupported manual entries to revenue, cost of sales and inventory.

• Deliver customer- and program-level margin reporting and a top-down shipment-mix check on monthly value-added margin.

• Assess and build the finance team, and recommend any accounting system or ERP improvements needed to support growth.

• Prepare the company for financial due diligence and, if required, an annual audit.

Inventory and Cost Accounting

• Oversee perpetual inventory and cost accounting in the ERP (currently PCMRP): standard and average costing, bill-of-materials cost rollups, work-in-process valuation and purchase price variance.

• Reconcile the general ledger to ERP inventory monthly; lead cycle counts and physical inventories; maintain excess and obsolete reserves.

• Establish policies for consigned and customer-furnished material, buy-sell arrangements and supplier prepayments.

• Partner with Operations, Purchasing and Program Management on quoting, material margins, cost reduction and customer pricing.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Ensure compliance with financial requirements of defense and government-related customers where applicable (e.g., DCAA-ready practices).

• Own the finance systems landscape (ERP, QuickBooks Online, bill.com and related tools) and lead improvements or upgrades.

• Oversee the financial management of foreign operations, including policies, reporting and intercompany accounting.

Leadership
