Position Overview:

The Director, National Accounts will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales and strengthen relationships with key national on-premise and off-premise accounts. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in the spirits industry, particularly within the on-premise segment, while also having valuable experience in the off-premise market.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth within national on-premise and off-premise accounts.
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key national accounts, understanding their business objectives, and ensuring our products align with their needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of national account strategies.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify new opportunities and potential challenges.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure favorable terms and agreements, while ensuring mutual benefit for both parties.
Forecasting: Collaborate with demand planning and sales operations teams to accurately forecast product demand and manage inventory levels.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of national account strategies and initiatives.
Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in national accounts management within the spirits industry.
Strong background in on-premise sales with a proven ability to navigate the dynamics of the off-premise market.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
Ability to analyze market data and trends to inform decision-making.
Willingness to travel as needed.
