Overview:

The Equus Group is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Sales Operations Specialist role at one of our clients, a highly reputable and growing business consulting firm located here in Chicago. The Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the sales team, optimizing sales processes and procedures, and analyzing data to drive sales strategy.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement sales operations strategies, policies, and procedures.
Manage the sales pipeline and provide regular updates to the sales team, including monitoring progress against targets, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively addressing issues.
Support the sales team in creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records, including account details, contact information, and sales activity.
Conduct data analysis to provide insights into sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Create and maintain sales reports and dashboards to provide visibility into sales performance and KPIs.
Manage sales forecasting and planning, including creating and updating sales forecasts and providing insights into future sales trends.
Work with cross-functional teams to optimize the sales process, including collaborating with marketing to improve lead generation and nurturing, and collaborating with finance to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.
Maintain and manage sales tools and technology, including CRM, sales enablement tools, and other sales-related software.
Provide training and support to the sales team on sales operations policies, procedures, and tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field.
Experience in Excel.
0-1 year of experience in sales operations or a related role.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales-related software is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and proactively identify and solve problems.
