Job Description:
The Deal Desk Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the field sales team in selling bundles and solutions. This role requires strong consulting and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to process changes quickly. The ideal candidate will provide regional support, ensuring alignment with local time zones to effectively meet the needs of the sales team and customers.
Responsibilities:
Sales and CRM Support:
● Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities and ensure data accuracy.
● Use Salesforce CPQ for quote generation and BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
Gap Analysis and Problem-Solving:
● Identify and address differences or gaps in the tool stack through manual intervention where needed.
● Document current state gaps and recommend process improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
● Coordinate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and validate BOMs and products with the product team.
● Facilitate discussions across functions to ensure alignment on solutions and configurations.
BOM and Pricing Management:
● Manage BOM configuration to ensure accurate representation of customer requirements.
● Develop pricing models based on the available price book.
Process Adaptation and Documentation:
● Quickly ramp up and adapt to changes in processes related to Deal Desk and Configure Price and Quote (CPQ).
● Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Proven experience in supporting field sales teams, especially in solution selling.
● Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Salesforce CPQ.
● Strong consulting and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
● Ability to identify and resolve gaps in tools or processes effectively.
● Excellent documentation skills to highlight gaps and propose improvements.
● Strong coordination skills to align seller needs, customer requirements, and product validation.
● Ability to manage and configure complex BOMs and develop pricing strategies.
● Consultative skills to facilitate productive cross-functional discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with Deal Desk operations.
● Familiarity with pricing methodologies and product configuration processes.
● Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
● Previous experience in sales support roles within the technology or SaaS industry.
