Position Description:
- Develop and execute strategy on domestic FBO supply.
- Create preferred FBO relationships by negotiating advantages for AEG.
- Negotiate direct supply arrangements, inventory opportunities, and into plane rates across the network ensuring full coverage and competitive rates.
- Work closely with sales to drive campaigns, respond to RFPs and price for activity and optimization.
- Lead and grow bulk fuel sales with FBO and private fuel tanks.
- Utilize a data driven approach to negotiations and to prioritize opportunities.
- Ensure supply relationships are actively managed and developed.
- Set goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed (Daily, Weekly and Monthly).
- Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
- Provide detailed and accurate forecasts and reporting to senior management.
- Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
- Assess individual performance through observation and measurement and suggest corrective actions as needed.
- Assist Account Executives with credit approvals and collections.
- Promptly approve expense reports, call reports, and SRM updates.
- Attend industry events and trade shows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of experience in in the aviation industry or target-based environments.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Experience setting goals.
- Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas.
- Ability to travel often and as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Office, Outlook, Excel).
- Demonstrates a customer and vendor service mindset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of CRM systems, best practices and data driven approach.
- Smart, proactive, self-starter with a sense of urgency and “can do” attitude.
