Contract: 6–9 months | Outside IR35
SL2302
We are supporting a large-scale infrastructure services business operating across critical national infrastructure. The group is private-equity backed and is entering a secondary buy-out with a highly regarded global fund.
The business has historically grown through an aggressive buy-and-build strategy, creating a multi-entity, operationally complex platform. Under new ownership, the strategy is to continue acquisitive growth, while further strengthening group-level financial discipline, governance and scalability.
An experienced Interim CFO is required to support the business through this transition period and into the next phase of ownership.
Scope of Role
- Lead the finance function through a secondary PE transaction, working closely with shareholders, lenders and advisers
- Provide senior financial leadership to a complex, acquisitive infrastructure services group
- Support ongoing M&A activity, including integration, reporting alignment and value-creation initiatives
- Enhance group governance, controls, forecasting and reporting appropriate for large-cap PE ownership
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO and Board during a period of change
Candidate Profile
- Strong exposure to secondary buy-outs and institutional PE environments
- Deep understanding of buy-and-build models and post-acquisition integration
- Background in infrastructure, industrial, utilities or engineering-led services preferred
- Comfortable operating at Board and investor level, with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
- ACA qualification is highly preferred.
