Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and oversee financial strategies, conduct budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and maintain robust internal controls.
- Financial Reporting: Supervise the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and timely dissemination to stakeholders.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the organization's cash flow to maintain liquidity and support operational needs.
- Investment Oversight: Evaluate investment opportunities and manage the organization's investment portfolio to maximize returns.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage with investors, board members, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance and strategic plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required; an MBA or other advanced degrees are often preferred.
- Professional Certifications: Credentials such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly regarded.
- Experience: Extensive experience in finance or accounting roles, with a significant portion in leadership positions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of financial management software and advanced proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams effectively and communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
