We have an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity for someone interested in becoming a partner and leading their own department. The Chief Financial Officer maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. The Chief Financial Officer ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. In addition, they will prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, analysis, and strategy.
- Develop and manage budgeting processes, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial performance.
- Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial statements, compliance, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support ongoing business operations.
- Oversee financial risk management and provide insights into opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in private accounting, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in managing financial operations for a company with a minimum annual revenue of $50 million.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a finance team.
- Excellent communication skills to the CEO and Board of Directors, with the ability to present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and strategic growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the retail industry or company size.
- Familiarity with Intacct accounting software and Bill.com a plus
- Fluent with Excel and Data Analytics
