As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for both strategic financial leadership and day-to-day financial operations, including controller-level functions. Given the size of the company, this role requires a hands-on financial executive who can oversee high-level financial strategy while also managing accounting, reporting, and operational finance tasks.
This contract position offers the potential to transition into a full-time CFO role as the company scales. Additionally, a competitive compensation package including stock options will be offered to align the CFO’s success with the company’s growth.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, where team members wear multiple hats and must be comfortable setting up and managing accounting systems from the ground up. Experience in Alberta’s energy sector, particularly in oil & gas, cleantech, or petrochemicals, is strongly preferred.
