THE POSITION
Calgary Sports Football Club (CSLP) is currently looking for candidates to complete an internship with the Calgary Stampeders for a five (5) month term, beginning in May 2025. The candidate will report to the Stampeders Director of Operations.
The Internship Program provides opportunities for individuals interested in learning and contributing to the work of the Calgary Stampeders business operations team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for team events, games, and community outreach.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with local communities, fans, and partners through outreach programs and event coordination.
- Assist with the organization and promotion of fan events, meet-and-greets, charity initiatives, and school visits.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of community activations and appearances.
- Administrative tasks as assigned;
- Work game nights where required;
- All other duties as assigned.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following background:
- Recently completed or working towards a degree or certificate in one of the following areas: Public Relations, Communications, Business or Sports Marketing/Management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs;
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a team environment to ensure the customers experience is met and exceeded;
- This internship requires a reliable source of transportation as some events are off site;
- Schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as dictated by the event schedule.
- Available for 30 - 35 hours a week with most hours falling on game nights
