We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all financial operations, funding strategies, and economic planning for the initiative. This role is critical in ensuring long-term financial stability and executing funding mechanisms to support our mission.
Role Overview
The CFO will work directly with the CEO, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale fundraising efforts, investment structures, budgeting, and financial compliance for nonprofits, political movements, or corporate ventures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the financial strategy, ensuring sustainability and growth.
- Lead fundraising initiatives, including investment rounds, donations, grants, and innovative financial models.
- Manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement revenue-generating opportunities.
- Establish and maintain banking, investor, and donor relationships.
- Oversee accounting, risk management, and financial operations.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (10+ years) as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong background in fundraising, venture capital, government finance, or large-scale nonprofits.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance, tax laws, and financial structures in California.
- Experience in strategic planning, investment management, and financial modeling.
- Ability to engage with investors, donors, and financial institutions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
