Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership & IPO Preparation
- Develop and execute short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with IPO readiness (SEC compliance, GAAP reporting, investor roadshows).
- Restructure financial systems, KPIs, and controls to meet public company standards.
- Partner with external auditors, legal advisors, and investment banks.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for R&D, manufacturing, and sales operations.
- Analyze unit economics, COGS, and inventory turnover to optimize profitability.
- Build scenario models for new product launches (www.UTEC.life) and market expansion.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Drive Series B+ fundraising (VC, PE, or strategic investors) with a focus on IoT/smart home verticals.
- Manage investor communications, pitch decks, and due diligence processes.
- Evaluate M&A opportunities for technology or market expansion.
- Operational Finance & Compliance
- Oversee accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance (U.S. and international).
- Implement ERP/PLM system enhancements for end-to-end financial visibility.
- Optimize warehousing/logistics cost structures and inventory valuation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D teams to align financial goals with AIoT product roadmaps.
- Advise sales teams on pricing strategies and channel profitability.
- Support supply chain risk management and manufacturing cost reduction.
Qualifications
- Education: MBA/CPA/CMA or equivalent; CFA a plus.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in finance leadership roles, with 3+ years in IoT, smart hardware, or consumer tech.
- Proven track record in U.S.-based tech fundraising (Series B+ or IPO).
- Expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting, and SaaS/hardware hybrid revenue models.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel/Power BI; ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Familiarity with IoT/AIoT ecosystems (e.g., AWS IoT, Matter Protocol).
- Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with operational rigor.
- Exceptional communication for investor and cross-team collaboration.
