OPPORTUNITY
WSG is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join the organization as Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will be instrumental in providing financial and strategic leadership to support WSG’s continued rapid pace of growth.
The successful candidate will need to be a seasoned leader with a proven growth track record and clear ability to serve as a strategic partner to the executive team. They will need to have successful experience operating in a high growth environment with a commercial orientation with experience growing partnerships. This individual will be a leader with an entrepreneurial, participative, and engaged management style and the ability to get things done in a collaborative environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for an entrepreneurial CFO who wants to enter at the "ground floor" with a newly recapitalized business, drive cross-functional impact in a high growth environment, and work closely with both an accomplished leadership team and a differentiated private equity sponsor. This position is in our Hauppauge, NY office Monday - Thursday, Fridays are optional remote day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to build, develop, and execute financial & accounting strategies and systems that support WSG’s ability to scale and execute on its operating plan initiatives.
- Build and maintain a high-performance Accounting/Finance team, implementing best practices, auditing processes, ensuring appropriate usage of technology, and recommending enhancements for continued growth.
- Frequently collaborate with executive team and management to discuss, review, and analyze the financial status of the organization and drive real-time decision making.
- Collaborate with other executives and BOD to identify opportunities for organic growth, acquisition and expansion, margin growth, and systems enhancement.
- Provide leadership with M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration planning.
- Oversee financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and cost management, while working with the CEO to deliver financial results across multiple lines of business.
- Ensure the timely close and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and federal, state, and other required supplementary schedules and information.
- Produce accurate and timely financial statements, bank reporting, analysis, and other ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain interactive predictive three statement financial forecasting models for use in strategic planning, liquidity management, covenant compliance forecasting, refinancing activities, and potential M&A opportunities.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and lenders, ensuring compliance with all covenants, reporting, and other requirements.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Manage preparation of external audits and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Track record of financial excellence at a fast-growing company, ideally in the multi-site business services sector.
- Complete proficiency in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow, and payroll.
- 15+years in finance/accounting, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
- Experience with banking services, credit agreements, borrowing requirements, and compliance.
- Experience with M&A "playbook", including development of strategy and management of integrations.
- Ability to leverage technology to drive efficiencies; experience with accounting software and data reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Services sector experience with a company working across multiple states. Mindset and appreciation for the front lines and the details / execution culture that leads to positive customer experiences.
- Proven ability to successfully operate a debt financed / leveraged business preferred.
- Prior experience working with private equity / institutional investors preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or taxation. CPA certification preferred.

The role will provide a competitive compensation package that will include a competitive base salary and annual bonus as well as participation in our incentive equity program. The salary offered will be dependent upon the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
