Job Description:
ABOUT THE POSITION:
- The CFO is responsible for all financial matters of the company including accounting and purchasing.
- Report to and work closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies across the organization.
- Must be a self-starter who is willing to do whatever is required to get the job done.
- Experience in agribusiness or food processing is required.
- Position will require travel around the Willamette Valley and 1-2 per year out of state.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide leadership by example, establishing and maintaining quality standards
- Oversee month end and financial close and reporting process, cash flow planning, asset management, financing strategies, banking relationships and cost-based accounting structure.
- Provide a strong understanding on chart of accounts. Improve financial reporting to provide meaningful performance data.
- Make predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
- Manage the development and monitoring of annual budgets
- Develop financial business plans and forecasts
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team
- Work with the CEO to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections.
- Represent the Company to business partners, including financial institutions, insurers, auditors, public officials, etc.
- Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions
- Mentor and develop a direct finance team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic
- Remain up-to-date on state and federal tax law
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of the financial reporting to the Board of Directors/Owners; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
- Manage yearly audits and proper and timely filing of tax returns
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Ability to speak, read and write Spanish is a strong plus.
- Experience managing finance of a mid-sized agribusiness or food processing company required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,693.00 - $159,332.00 per year
