Placers Professional is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a well-established, mid-sized service provider in Newark, DE.

This is a 100% onsite position with up to 10% travel to warehouses and other sites.
- Responsibilities:Overseeing the organization’s daily accounting functions.
- Managing the accounting, payroll, AP, and AP departments.
- Providing strategic guidance in financial decision-making.
- Regular communication and reporting to Senior Management.
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
- Overseeing external audit activities.
- Managing the budget process.
- Assessing and improving current accounting operations by implementing new processes.
- Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics.
- Ensuring regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
- Hiring, training, and retaining accounting staff.
- Managing risk through oversight of various insurance products.
- Overseeing vendor relationships for computer systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting/Management roles for a mid-sized company with an annual revenue of over $30K.
- Accounting software experience in Great Plains preferred or experience in equivalent software
- Must have Advanced Excel skills
- CPA preferred
- Must have experience working in a multi-entity organization.
- Experience managing direct reports/departments of A/P, A/R, and Billing
- Accounting laws and regulations.
- Business management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership
- Must have excellent and strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Strong commitment to deadlines and leading through example.
