The CFO will play a critical role in driving our financial strategy, managing investor relations, and securing funding to fuel our growth. This is a high-impact position that requires a seasoned financial leader with a proven track record in fundraising, cash flow management, and scaling startups through Series A and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising and Investor Relations:
- Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing for and executing our Series A round.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, venture capitalists, and other funding partners.
- Develop compelling pitch decks, financial models, and business plans to attract investment.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and management to ensure the company’s financial health.
- Implement strategies to optimize working capital and maintain liquidity.
- Grants and Debt Management:
- Identify and secure grants, including managing the grant application and writing process.
- Manage the company’s debt portfolio, including negotiating terms and ensuring compliance with covenants.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support growth and profitability.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and board of directors.
- Oversee Finance Department:
- Lead and manage the finance team, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, audits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s long-term stability.
- Implement robust internal controls and financial policies.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate and pursue strategic partnerships and opportunities.
- Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence and integration.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in a high-growth startup or FinTech company.
- Strong track record in fundraising, including successful Series A rounds and investor relations.
- Expertise in cash flow management, financial planning, and analysis.
- Experience with grant writing and securing non-dilutive funding.
- Knowledge of debt management and financial risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling finance teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
