Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Miami (Brickell – in-office)
Reports To: CEO
Overview
A high-growth company preparing for a potential transaction in 2027 is seeking a strategic and hands-on CFO to lead financial operations, transaction readiness, and long-term finance infrastructure.
This executive will play a critical role in managing the company through a complex sell-side M&A process while strengthening controls, reporting, compliance, and operational finance capabilities to support future growth.
The CFO will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, investment bankers, legal counsel, tax advisors, and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial aspects of the anticipated transaction process, including diligence preparation, data room management, QoE, buyer Q&A, and advisor coordination
- Build and maintain a clear, defensible financial narrative and operating model
- Oversee multi-state tax compliance, financial controls, and risk management
- Improve monthly close, reporting, KPI tracking, and finance operations
- Lead and develop a lean finance team
- Prepare the company for successful integration under strategic or private equity ownership
Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience
- Prior CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent experience
- Proven sell-side M&A transaction experience
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, QoE, working capital, and deal structures
- Deep knowledge of US accounting and multi-state tax/compliance
- Experience operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
Preferred
- Insurance, travel insurance, fintech, or regulated industry experience
- Marketplace, aggregator, or performance marketing business model exposure
- Experience working with investment banks and transaction advisors
