We are seeking a strategic and driven Chief Financial Officer, with extensive experience in the fintech industry. Your primary responsibility will be to lead all capital-raising initiatives. This role is onsite in our clients Miami office. It offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Lead Fundraising Campaigns: Own the end-to-end process for upcoming funding rounds, including Series B/C or strategic debt financing.
- Build Financial Models: Create dynamic, investor-ready financial models, unit economics, and long-term valuation scenarios.
- Manage Due Diligence: Oversee comprehensive financial, legal, and operational due diligence processes.
- Negotiate Deal Terms: Partner with legal counsel and executives to structure term sheets and negotiate favorable equity or debt agreements.
- Cultivate Investor Networks: Maintain proactive relationships with venture capital firms, private equity, banks, and strategic fintech investors.
Financial Strategy & Operations
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Direct budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management to optimize our operational runway.
- Capital Allocation: Direct the efficient deployment of raised funds across product development, scaling, and market expansion.
- Fintech Compliance & Risk: Oversee financial regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, and audits specific to the financial technology industry.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3+ years as a CFO or VP of Finance in a high-growth startup.
- Fintech Background: Deep familiarity with fintech business models (e.g., SaaS, payments, lending) and their unique regulatory and capital requirements.
- Fundraising Track Record: Proven, verifiable success leading multiple successful capital-raising rounds (equity and/or debt) from institutional investors.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level financial modeling, valuation techniques, and cap-table management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA preferred.
